The Role of R&D Intensity on the Export Intensity of Enterprises in Transition Economy: The Case of Vietnam

Manuscript type: Research paper aims: This study estimates the role of research and development (R&D) expense with respect to export intensity Vietnamese enterprises. Design/Methodology/Approach: Building upon resource-based review, this postulates that R&D expenses an enterprise are positively associated enterprise. Data extracted from Vietnam General Statistics Office Survey 306 exporting firms were used test proposed hypothesis. Findings: Both Robust Standard Errors Tobit Regression models reveal hypothesis is strongly supported control firm-level national-level factors. Theoretical contribution/Originality: provides a new insight about in transition economies. Practitioner/Policy Implications: suggests continuously engage innovation gain sustainable competitive advantage when other countries. limitation/ Implication: Further may consider bigger sample size utilise time-series or panel data.
